We are a Christian-owned and operated business associated with the churches of Christ. All media produced and distributed by this company, whether sold or given, will be materials that honor God by carefully adhering to the teachings in His word.

Daniel P. Curry, Jr. “DJ”

DJ resides in Davisville, WV, and serves as a minister for the Camden Avenue church of Christ located in Parkersburg, WV.  DJ worships there along with his wife, Mrs. Sarah Anne Curry, and their three sons. DJ is a constant student of God’s word and a humble servant to all. DJ formerly served the state of West Virginia as a West Virginia State Trooper and served his fellow Troopers as a West Virginia State Police Chaplain.

Sarah Curry has been a Christian most of her life and passionately wishes to serve the Lord in the areas of child and family edification. Sarah is the wife of a preacher, DJ Curry, and mother to three sons, Cole, Connor, and Isaac, whom she has homeschooled since their early beginnings. Sarah has served the church in children’s classes, women’s classes, and social media pages such as Fidelity Sisters and Women in the Word Daily (2 Timothy 2:15). Most of all, Sarah is a constant student of the word of God. 


Scott Farley, Christian Author

Scott Farley

June 1, 1963 – May 5, 2024

Scott C. Farley was born in Akron, Ohio. He was the son of Albert and Nancy Farley and was married to Mary Sue Farley since 1992.   He grew up in several towns in West Virginia, including Belington, Crum, Sand Fork, Webster Springs, and Weston. After graduating from Lewis County High School in 1981, studies in college included Ohio Valley College, West Virginia Tech, and Bear Valley. Located preaching work included Boomer, Madison, Seth, Stewart Park, and Salem church of Christ. He had worked for several years with Surprise Valley Youth Camp as a teacher, counselor, preacher, repairman, and board member. Also, Scott is the “Master of corny jokes and the world’s greatest pool player!”

Scott Farley labored faithfully alongside the Curry family as the Co-Editor of The Mountain Messenger. He will be forever missed until we are reunited with the Lord. He was a best friend to all! We love you, Scott.

Andy Robinson - Mountain Messenger Christian Author

Andy Robison

Andy Robison has preached for several West Virginia congregations, including Pennsboro, Farmington, Camden Avenue in Parkersburg, Hopewell, Harrisville, and Hillview Terrace.  He currently preaches at Hillview Terrace and is the director of the West Virginia School of Preaching

He also taught Bible and directed the choruses at Jackson, Tennessee Christian School.  Andy serves as secretary on the board of directors of West Virginia Christian Youth Camp and works Intermediate Week and Singing Emphasis Week at the camp.  Andy has written or co-written several hymns, available for free at the website he manages, churchofchristsongs.com.  He has produced several CDs of acapella singing for the benefit of West Virginia Christian Youth Camp.  

Andy is married to Marsha (Giesler) of Rolla, Missouri.  They have two children and, at the time of writing, three grandchildren.  


Autumn Richardson Christian Author

Autumn Richardson

Autumn Richardson is a member of the Petersville Church of Christ, where her husband preaches, and she serves with Lads to Leaders and Adult Women’s Education. She is also an Instructor of Women’s Ministry, Co-Coordinator of Radiant, and the Director of Distance Learning at Heritage Christian University. She holds a degree in Biblical Studies from FHU and a Master of Ministry from HCU. A lifelong student of the Word, helping women find interest and skill in studying the Scriptures on their own is her personal ministry and passion. Autumn is married to Adam, and they have grown children (Kait, Logan Ashley, and Macey) and a granddaughter (Parker) who has stolen their hearts!


Colton Ferrell - Mountain Messenger Christian Author

Colton Ferrell

Colton Ferrell is a full-time minister for the Lord’s Church. In addition to being a full-time minister, Colton runs the “Young Men for God” page on Facebook and enjoys working with the youth to encourage them to grow in Christ.

Colton is a graduate of the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies and earned a bachelor’s degree. He is also planning on pursuing his master’s degree in the future.

Matthew Derreberry

Matthew Derreberry serves as the full-time Preaching Minister for the Belle Church of Christ in Belle, West Virginia. Matthew is a graduate of the Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies in Knoxville, Tennessee, and currently studies at Heritage Christian University, located in Florence, Alabama.

Matthew has a loving wife, Madison, and a daughter named Evelyn. Matthew is also a licensed HVAC Technician and enjoys serving others with this skillset and others. Matthew’s ultimate goal in this life is to bring souls to Jesus.

Mike Tincher is a preacher at the Church of Christ in Seth, WV. He and his wife Cathy “Michelle” have 5 children and 10 lovely granddaughters. They reside in Hurricane, WV. 


Jon Hescht, Christian Author

Jon Hescht

Jon Hescht is a current student at the West Virginia School of Preaching located in Moundsville, WV.  He grew up in a Christian home and has been a student of the Word from a young age.  He has a faithful Christian wife, Brandi, and two daughters, Teagan and Cadence.  He graduated from Ohio Valley University with a degree in Psychology and Education and did some introductory graduate work at Freed-Hardeman University in the Bible department.  After years of secular work, Jon decided to go back to school to pursue a stronger education in a more spiritually rewarding career path as a Gospel Preacher.  Jon has actively served as a deacon for the Camden Avenue church of Christ in Parkersburg, WV, for nine years, where he has been involved in many programs such as VBS, Bible Class teacher, overseeing the technology department, and Lads to Leaders coordinator.  His main goal after graduation is to find a permanently located work for the purpose of bringing as many others to Christ as possible while continuing in deeper study of God’s word.  He has had articles published in West Virginia Christian and is excited to continue that work with The Mountain Messenger

Josh has been a faithful member of the Lord’s church at the Camden Avenue congregation since his baptism in 2016. He is married to his wife, Zoe, and they have one daughter named Elaina. Josh is a growing student of God’s Word who desires to share Christ with those around him.  


Mark Day, Christian Author for the Mountain Messenger.

Mark Day

Mark Day is the minister at the Flatwoods church of Christ in Flatwoods, KY, where he has preached for fifteen years.  Before coming to Flatwoods, he preached for the Midway church of Christ in Spencer, TN.  Mark grew up in Indiana and became a Christian as a teenager after studying the Bible with a friend. He and his wife, Alissa, have two children: Noah and Amelia.  Mark earned a Master of Biblical Studies degree in 2022 from Bear Valley Bible Institute and a Bachelor of Religious Education degree from Tennessee Bible College in 2009.  He enjoys any opportunity to meet brothers and sisters in Christ in new places and spread God’s word.

Stephen R. Diehl

Steve resides in Teays Valley, WV, and is a faithful member of the Lord’s church. He attends Main Street church of Christ in Hurricane, WV, with his wife, Jan. God has blessed them with two children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.  


Christian author Debbie Kea

Debbie Kea

Debbie Kea was born in Vicksburg, Mississippi, but she was raised in San Jose, California. She attended Freed-Hardeman College, where she met her husband, Randy. She has been a preacher’s wife for 49 years. She has two children, Clint and Christy, and eight grandchildren.

Debbie is a retired high school English teacher with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. 

Debbie is one of the writers of the book My Sister’s Keeper. Her books We’re All Wounded, Forty Years on the Second PewAm I Brave Enough?, Staying Close to the Shepherd, Studies in Selected Psalms, Strategies for Raising Spiritually Healthy Childrenand most recently, Moments with the Master, all published by Yeomen Press.  

 She teaches elementary classes at the Fairview Church of Christ but has taught all ages, usually writing her own material. Debbie has spoken at many ladies’ days, retreats, and workshops. She has made two mission trips to American Samoa and the Fiji Islands.

She loves to read, write, and crochet. She collects teapots, birds, and churchhouses. Her passions are her God, her family, and her sisters in Christ.


Christian author Brenda Poarch

Brenda Poarch

Brenda Poarch is a Christian author, teacher, speaker and the president of a non-profit organization for women. Raised in the Church of Christ, Brenda has dedicated her life to her family and her service to God. She and her husband Greg were married in 1974 and God has blessed them with three children and five amazing grandchildren. 

Brenda has lived in Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi, where she has taught women’s Bible classes, shared the gospel with women in domestic abuse shelters, prison, and rehab homes. She was also the editor of two different women’s newsletters and wrote a column for her local newspaper. Since 1993, Brenda has served in the Lads to Leaders program working with children in the areas of song leading, speech, Bible reading and puppets. 

She is a two-time cancer survivor who realized her love for writing during her battle with breast cancer in 1999. This love resulted in her being published in Christian Woman magazine several times and becoming the author of four women’s Bible study books – two self-published and two published by Publishing Designs. Brenda has a passion for God’s word and has served as the speaker for Ladies’ Day events all across the country. In 2022, Brenda retired from the Clay County School District, and she now works full-time for the Lord. 

In 2023, she and a group of Christian sisters started a non-profit called You Are Loved Ministry. Their goal is to encourage Christian women, bring the lost to Jesus, and support adult survivors of childhood abuse. On the You Are Loved Ministry website, you will find videos, podcasts, and blogs developed with these goals in mind. Ed Melott Christian Author

Ed Melott

Ed Melott is a native of West Virginia. He and his wife Kim have two grown children, Hunter and Kameron. Preaching the Gospel has opened doors in Wetzel, Ritchie, and Wood counties in WV, as Ed has served God as a located preacher in those counties. Presently, Ed works with the Lubeck congregation in Washington, WV, where he has worked since 2020. Ed is a 2001 graduate of the West Virginia School of Preaching and has taught Bible Geography, New Testament church, 1 Corinthians, Denominational Doctrines, and Job at the West Virginia School of Preaching. Presently, he teaches Bible Geography and 1 Corinthians. God has opened doors for him to preach in many states and take part in lecture programs, seminars, and special studies for various congregations. Ed is also in the beginning stages of a new podcast called THE CHRISTIAN SYSTEM.  


Christian author Hunter Melott

Hunter Melott

Hunter Melott is a graduate of the West Virginia School of Preaching in Moundsville, West Virginia. He also studied at Heritage Christian University in biblical studies.  He is the current minister at the Columbiana church of Christ in Columbiana, Ohio. Hunter also hosts a podcast named “The Religious Coffee Hour,” where he spends time speaking on a wide array of topics, including but not limited to theology, church work, philosophy, contemporary cultural issues, and biblical principles. He is married to Lillianna, and they reside in Boardman, Ohio. His main mission is to proclaim Christ as the Lord and Savior of mankind and King of the universe. 


Aidan Klinger, Christian Author

Aidan Klingler

Aidan Klingler graduated from high school in May 2024 with plans to attend the West Virginia School of Preaching to further his education and grow as a preacher. Aidan has a passion for ministry and a calling to serve God and has expressed hopes to be a light, guide, and friend! Aidan has lived in the Mid-Ohio Valley region his whole life and has had family in the Lord’s Church for generations. Several men in his family have served as elders: John Speece, Byron Daggett, and Elmer Barnes. Aidan grew up attending the Veto church of Christ with his grandparents but started attending Camden Avenue church of Christ with his girlfriend, Michaela Miller, in 2019. Aidan and Michaela were both baptized on March 13, 2022. Since then, Aidan has been active in leading singing, prayer, and reading Scripture. With encouragement from other preachers, Aidan began to preach and has been doing so nearly every Sunday since! Aidan is blessed to serve as an intern at the 36th Street church of Christ and has worked with them full-time since January.

Scott Judge

Scott M. Judge is currently serving as the Minister for the Elm Grove Church of Christ in Piketon, Ohio. He grew up in Jacksonburg, West Virginia, just outside of New Martinsville. He has been married since June 17, 1995. He and his wife, Ellie, have two boys, Jonas and Joel. Jonas is 20 years old and is a graduate of St. Marys High School in St. Marys, West Virginia. He is currently working in Marietta, Ohio at Planet Fitness. Their youngest son, Joel is 18 and is in the 12thgrade. Joel is attending Ohio Virtual Academy and completes schooling online. Scott’s wife, Ellie, is currently employed at Hernstein Motors in Chillicothe, Ohio, as a salesman. 

Scott has been preaching the gospel of Christ since 1996 while also working full-time in the mental health field. Scott majored in psychology and Social Work graduating from West Liberty State College in 1993. He has utilized this education, working mainly with youth over the past 27 years. In 2014, Scott desired to leave the secular field and devote himself entirely to preaching. He attended the West Virginia School of Preaching and graduated in 2016. He worked at the school for two years prior to accepting full-time ministry duties at Elm Grove. Scott has spoken in several of the surrounding states and is active in many church camps, Vacation Bible Schools, and has also spoken at several meetings.


Dale Babinsky, Christian author for the Mountain Messenger.

Dale Babinsky

Dale Babinsky was baptized into Christ on October 5, 1998.  He and his wife Paula have one daughter, Isabella.  Dale is currently the full-time minister for the Great Smoky Mountains church of Christ since June 2023.  Previously, Dale has served as the Dean of Students and full-time instructor at Southeast Institute of Biblical Studies for seven years and has preached both full-time and part-time for congregations in North Carolina, Colorado, and Ohio.  Dale has a Bachelor of Theology degree from Bear Valley Biblical Institute of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and political science from Balwin Wallace College as well as a Master of Arts in Russian history from John Carroll University.  He has served in the church as a Bible class teacher, deacon, and treasurer in the past.

David R. Kenney was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Warren and Kay Kenney. He has a B.B.A. in Management (Freed-Hardeman University School of Business), an M.B.A. (Kent State University Graduate School of Management), and is currently pursuing M. Div. (Freed-Hardeman University School of Theology). David produced “Light From Above” and “Bible Readings & Hymns” for both television and radio with both WCTV in Wadsworth and the Gospel Broadcasting Network. He also produced a nearly three-hour documentary on the life of Alexander Campbell with Gospel Broadcasting Network called “AC – A Historical Account of Alexander Campbell.” David has preached part-time for churches in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and LaGrange, Ohio. He has preached full-time in Wadsworth, Ohio, and is currently preaching full-time in Newcomerstown, OH. He publishes his own blog, The Bully Pulpit, at www.drkenney.blogspot.com. He also publishes two podcasts: “Kenney’s Two Pennies” and “Bible Readings.” David has served as a Staff Writer for both West Virginia Christian and Voice of Truth International. He is also a contributor to Gospel AdvocatePublishing Peace, and other publications. David teaches at the West Virginia School of Preaching, and he currently serves as the editor of their Victory Lectures lectureship book. David is married to the former Annette Strunk, and they have two children: James and Deborah, who are both faithful Christians.
